Jun. 18: Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture

Baritone Damon Kirsche, mezzo soprano Aleah Papes and  narrator / pianist Andrew Martin present selections from their revue “Down on the Farm: Food and Farming in the American Songbook,” featuring readings from American authors and songs from Tin Pan Alley, Broadway and Hollywood which reflect on America’s cultural and historical relationship to food and farming and popular nostalgia for its agrarian past. The presentation is part of a dinner and lecture honoring author, farmer and philosopher Dr. Fred Kirschenmann, Distinguished Fellow of the Leopold Center for Sustainable Agriculture and President of the Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, featuring keynote speaker Wendell Berry.
