Adapted from Anita Loo's novel of the same name, GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES features music by Jule Styne, lyrics by Leo Robin and a book by Joseph Fields and Anita Loos. The story takes place on board a ship taking Lorelei Lee, (Carol Channing making her Broadway debut in the original cast) and her traveling companion, Dorothy, to Paris. But even an ocean liner and The City of Lights can barely contain all of the hijinks Lorelei gets into. The classic score features "Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend," "Bye, Bye Baby," and "Just A Little Girl From Little Rock."
