6/27-7/1: "9 to 5: The Musical"

UPDATE: We received a terrific review for our run of "9 to 5" the musical. Production photos by Christopher Clark/Music Theatre of Wichita "9 to 5":
Doralee (Jenni Barber) puts up with workplace shenanigans from boss Franklin Hart, Jr. (Damon Kirsche)
Franklin Hart, Jr. (Damon Kirsche) gets a working over by Doralee (Jenni Barber) Violet (Paula Leggett Chase) and Judy (Darcie Roberts)
I'm delighted to return to Music Theatre of Wichita as chauvinistic boss "Franklin Hart, Jr." in 9 to 5: The Musical!"

Dolly Parton penned the music and lyrics for this stage adaptation of the hit film comedy, which hilariously involves the wacky adventures of three working women who eventually achieve revenge on their chauvinistic boss. The title tune from the film (also written by Dolly) gets the show off to a lively start, and the new songs are a catchy and tuneful collection of musical fun.

6/14: Mora's Modern Rhythmists

Mora's Modern Rhythmists at Disney California Adventure
This Thursday, I'll appear with Mora's Modern Rhythmists vintage swing orchestra as part of a private event celebrating Disney California Adventure's grand re-opening after a five-year, billion-dollar expansion.
The new entrance to the park, Buena Vista Street, has been refashioned to evoke 1920s and 30s Los Angeles, with Red Car trolleys, modeled after the ones which once served Southern California (and continue to operate in San Francisco in the MUNI's historic streetcar restoration fleet).
We'll be performing in front of the Carthay Circle Theatre, modeled after the site of the 1937 world premiere of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.”
